Diafine - Two part compensating developer

Not the best image in the world but I like the detail in the snow!  Hard to do with digital.

Just wanted to post a short article on the developer that I am currently using.

Diafine compensating film developer is really a great developer from a film scanning point of view.  The negatives have a large mid-tone range with open shadows and controlled highlight.  This is great for scanning because we have no trouble  getting at all the information in the negative.  Much like a RAW digital file.  Scanners love it.

It is also very easy to use and cheep!  Everything I have learned about this wonderful developer I learned from Stephen Schaub over at The Figital Revolution.

Here is the start of a wonderfully informative series of articles that Stephen Schaub wrote about how to develop and scan with Diafine.  Please visit his site, there is a wealth of info there and it is for all skill levels.  He makes learning about every thing film very easy to understand.
